Product Description This disposable N95 particulate welding respirator with carbon layer helps provide respiratory protection where metal fumes may be present including those with ozone* and nuisance level organic vapors**. Features foam faceseal and 3M Cool Flow Valve. From the Manufacturer 3M™ Particulate Respirator 8214, N95, is a disposable respirator designed to help provide respiratory protection in applications such as welding, soldering, and other operations in which metal fumes may be present. This respirator provides at least 95 percent filtration efficiency against certain non-oil based particles. Carbon filter media helps reduce exposure to ozone* and nuisance levels of organic vapors**. This respirator features cake resistant filter media with specifically designed filter layers for welding applications helping to provide longer respirator life and easier breathing. A foam faceseal and soft inner material provide added comfort while the cup shape design makes the respirator feel spacious and durable. An adjustable noseclip reduces potential for eyewear fogging and helps to obtain a secure seal. The respirator incorporates 3M’s proprietary technology with advanced electrostatically charged microfiber filter media designed for ease of breathing. Adjustable head straps help provide a comfortable, secure seal. Respiratory applications may include welding, torch cutting, brazing, soldering, metal pouring, or when working with stainless, galvanized or aluminum. Note: This respirator is not intended to act as a face shield or give benefits beyond helping to improve respiratory protection. The proprietary 3M Cool Flow valve is designed to release hot, humid exhaled breath quickly, helping to prevent an unpleasant build up of heat inside the facepiece - a significant cause of discomfort to respirator wearers. Meets government safety standards This particulate respirator is a NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health) approved N95 respirator for environments containing certain non-oil based particles and provides at least 95% filter efficiency. The respirator is also flame resistant as demonstrated per modified ASTM D2859 (not a substitute for a faceshield). *3M recommended for ozone protection up to 10X OSHA PEL. Not NIOSH approved for Ozone. **3M recommended for relief against nuisance level organic vapors.
