The Staubli MC4 connector is used for photovoltaic (PV) connections, providing a weather-resistant interface for solar power systems. Desgined for TEMCo 8 AWG PV cable as well as other solar cable with a outer diameter of 7.0 mm to 8.8 mm. The connectors carry IP65/IP68 ratings when mated, indicating resistance to dust and water, and are designed for use in outdoor environments. Typical uses include photovoltaic (PV) solar panel wiring, residential and commercial solar power system connections, and other outdoor renewable energy installations that require weather-resistant connectors.
- Snap-in locking mechanism for secure, vibration-resistant connections. Low-contact resistance thanks to patented MULTILAM technology.
- Fits TEMCo 8 AWG PV cable or any other solar cable with a 7.0-8.8 mm outer diameter.
- Requires solar crimping tool for copper terminals. Recommended tool is TEMCo TH0011 (not included)
- IP65/IP68 rated when mated, dust-tight and waterproof
- Rated up to 1500 VDC, with current-carrying capacities up to 50A
